Through digitalisation to the model-based RTM process
In order to make aviation apt for the fourth industrial revolution, there is a massive focus on digitalisation. This involves modelling and simulating the manufacturing process of high-quality CFRP structural components. With the help of numerous sensors (such as temperature, pressure, resistance), important aspects of the process, such as the arrival of the flow front, the degree of curing or the curing behaviour, are recorded and evaluated. The goal is the development of digital process models with integrated quality control, such as digital twins.
