First electronic parachute for small aircraft
A sudden in-flight pilot incapacitation leads by means of electronic flight control to the automatic emergency flight guidance with subsequent emergency landing. This electronic parachute brings automated flying one step closer. The process is supported by numerous projects in the field of sensor integration, data acquisition and data fusion. Using optical sensors and radar systems, the detection of "obstacles" and avoidance recommendations is being researched.
