Energy transition in aviation

In addition to the aviation hydrogen study, which was already completed in 2022, a national action plan for the energy transition in aviation is to be drawn up. As a key technology for climate-friendly aviation, the study aims to determine the application potential of hydrogen for the Austrian aviation research and (supply) industry, to present it and to derive a hydrogen RTI roadmap for Austria from it. In order to secure the energy supply for buildings such as airports or the supply of energy sources for future drive technologies, a closer look at various options in the field of energy transition is required.
