Quantification of weather influence

The influence of weather on aviation can be evaluated! However, this is not a trivial undertaking: how can one quantify safety? Additionally, some optimisation parameters contradict each other and are ranked differently by different stakeholders. 

For the first time, Key Performance Indicators allowed for the potential for good forecasting to be demonstrated and validated by simulations. In the next step, it will be attempted to use probabilistic weather forecasts to map the uncertainties in the weather forecast in the form of probabilities of occurrence of relevant weather events, and to integrate them into deterministic processes and procedures.
